😬 Bryson DeChambeau Misses the Cut… and ESPN rubs it in

📰 The Straight Shot

Bryson DeChambeau had a rough week at the PGA Championship, struggling through two difficult rounds and missing the cut by several shots.

Late in his second round, Bryson made a small run with a few birdies, but he was still far outside the projected cut line with only a couple holes remaining. During that stretch, ESPN sent out a push notification saying he was “in danger” of missing the cut—even though his chances were basically gone already.

The awkward notification quickly became part of the conversation online, adding another layer to an already frustrating tournament for DeChambeau.

😂Golf Gags Take

Nothing says “tough week” quite like getting roasted by a push notification.

Bryson was already heading home early…
and ESPN still felt the need to check in like:

“Hey everybody, just confirming this is going terribly.”

At that point the notification wasn’t sports coverage anymore.
It was emotional damage.

🎯 The Punch

Bryson didn’t just miss the cut—he got eliminated by his own phone alerts.
